The following is the story behind the “The Hands of God”, our first Jerusalem Stone necklace. The message behind this gift is a witness to God’s power alive in the world today. Just as it has touched our hearts, it is our hope that the necklace will be worn by people of all faiths to remind them of the Ten Commandments and to shed God’s light throughout the world.

On April 18, 2001, just prior to my son’s Bar Mitzvah, I asked God a direct question. “How can my son be reminded of the Ten Commandments all the time from now until the end of his time?”

Prior to that, I had never been religious. As a physician, my education led me to believe that there must be a scientific, logical explanation for the workings of the world. I was wrong. The night after I asked my question, I was abruptly awakened with the Holy Spirit engulfing my soul. A bright light had blinded the vision in my left eye, and my mind was filled with thoughts that were not my own.

God does exist, and what follows are God's evolving revelations to me.

The Ten Commandments were given to all mankind. The tablets were inscribed in Hebrew and written from right to left as throughout the Bible, creation starts in the East, the blessed right side. The right tablet represents the right hand of God, our soul, and the left tablet, the left hand of mankind, our physical being. God has given us our own two tablets, our two hands, as a constant reminder of His commandments, the foundation of His laws that serve to bring peace and freedom among the nations on earth.

With the necklace turned upside down, the hands symbolize the hands of Jesus offering us His unconditional love. Jesus died for the sins of all humanity so that the bridge between our world and the kingdom of Heaven can be crossed by people of all faiths--for God is One, God is Love.

“The Hands of God” symbolizes the Father and the Son's unconditional love and reminds us that God can touch us when our hearts are open to Him. It allows God's Divine light into the world separating the darkness from the light. As such, it remains a beacon to souls throughout the world. It is my hope that people of all faiths will feel the hands of God working in their lives, showering them with profound love and bringing them ever closer to God.
